Inserting and image

To insert an image into your webpage follow these steps

  1. Locate the image in your computer (or download)
  2. Resize image so it is fast for others to download
  3. Upload File
  4. Insert image

Do not copy and paste images from other webpages. this will not upload the image it will only link to the original one.

 

Resize image on the web

Go to: http://www.pixlr.com/app/
Open the file by going to “File” then “Open”
Go to “Image” then “Canvas size” and resize to the desired size (should be less than 300px by 300px)
Then go save by going to “file” then “save” adjust the quality to about 75 to get a an image that will download at a reasonable speed.

Upload

Before you uplad an image make sure the image is not to big (anything bigger than 100kb is too big)

You can upload images like any oder file (e.g PDF) [see upload]

Go to the page where you want to insert the image and click on this iconimage

Click on the Browse icon Browse to access the file manager with all its functions (upload included). search for the image you need. They are usually in the "media" folder

Hint: You can insert a full URL or a relative URL if you know it
