Create a New Page

Using the User Menu

Navigate to menu (the page) where you need to create a new web page.

To create a new submenu click on "New child page" if the new page is to be in the same menu as the page you are on then click on "New page".

Example

I'm currently looking at the web page "fruit" and my menu looks like the following

  • fruit (page selected)
  • meat
  • grains

to add a new web page called "vegetables" then click on "New page"

to add a new page "orange" under "fruit" click on "New child page".

To create the new page you will need to give it a name make it short and simple.

Note to advance users:This name will be used to create the folder and inside it "index.html"new page

After you create the page you will be able to edit the web page like any other page. you will notice that the name in the navigation is the same as the name you used to create the new page. if you want to change the description in the navigation menu you can do that under "Page Title"

Note to advance users:This will not change the folder name that was created and that can be confusing when looking for the webpage using the file system or an FTP client.

Uncheck Create enclosing directory only if you are absolutely sure that you won't add a child page to the new one in future. Then click on Create and the editor will be opened.

Advanced User

A webpage is a file. so open the File Manager and create a new HTML file in the desired place. Please keep in mind how the site map is created.

Additionally, you can add (and edit) pages from outside using an FTP client. After doing that, make sure you run Refresh Site Map in the Control Panel so the system can find your new page(s). The site map is automatically refreshed after some hours, so new pages will be found even if you don't start the update manually.
